Located in southeastern Washington, part of the larger Columbia Valley AVA. T Borders the Yakima Valley AVA on the north and the Columbia River on the south.  Elevations range from 200 feet above sea level in the south to 1,800 feet above sea level at the northern boundary.  Grapes planted in the south-facing slopes of the Horse Heaven Hills benefit from strong winds that arrive fom the west via the Columbia Gorge. Plump, round berries that produced aromas of ripe pears, melons, citrus and floral notes are accentuated with a lush, silky texture that finishes with a hint of sweetness. Our Viognier was whole-cluster pressed, and tank fermented to produce a clean, crisp wine full of exotic fruit. Serve chilled for a wonderfully refreshing wine. The Viognier grapes were hand-picked, gently whole cluster pressed and barrel fermented in neutral oak barrels using a combination of five different yeasts.
